Coming from the South via the Ml - leave the Ml at junction 25 (Derby).

Follow A52 to Ashboume. From Ashboume (still on the A52) head towards Leek.

Approximately 5 miles out of Ashboume, this road becomes the A523. Keep driving until you get to a village called Waterhouses. Look for the George Hotel on your right on the main road. Here, turn right into
Waterfall Lane. Follow this for half a mile and LOOK OUT for a sharp left-hand turn on the corner of a farm building (signposted Grindon 3 miles).

Follow country roads / signs to Grindon. On passing the Grindon village sign follow the road down to the right and go straight on up the
slope past the Cavalier Inn (on your right). Follow this single-track road for a mile (do not turn off or bear left anywhere). Summerhill Farm is at the top of the hill.
